Poppy huddled into the fur of her mother as a gust of wind blew into her face. It was getting cold and she was hungry. She hadn't had anything to eat today because her mother hadn't been able to find anything edible for her. The puppy's stomach growled loudly and she growled back at in, sitting down under her mother's body, trying to keep warm. Poppy yelped softly and watched as a man walked over to a trashcan and threw half a hotdog and a buttered bun in there. Poppy wagged her tail lightly and nudged her mother's leg with her nose impatiently.

Feeling her mother place her into the bin, Poppy grabbed the hotdog and started chewing on it hungrily, then swallowed, feeling it fill up a huge gap. She yelped softly in relief and grabbed the buttered bun, offering it to her mother.

"No thanks"said Missy in a quiet voice you have it,it looks like you are starving eat it all up said Missy trying to go to go to sleep.

Poppy nibbled hungrily on the bun. Once done, she put both of her tiny paws on the side of the trash can and vaulted herself over, landing on Missy's stomach lightly with a small puppy laugh. She curled up at her stomach and nuzzled the soft fur of her mother, licking her leg gently.
