Nick & Tyler's Performance.

Nick parked his Ute, then open the door and jumped out, he walked to his trailer then opened the little door and untied Tyler and then walked around to the back and unlatched the latches then dropped the ramp, Tyler backed out he looked around and snorted. Nick got hold of his rope that was hanging around his neck, where Nick had thrown it when he had untied Tyler. Nick lead Tyler to the side of the Float tied him to one of the pieces of string he had dangling there from the rings on the actual float. Tyler stood still and snorted as Nick got out his grooming kit and started to brush Tyler's beautiful Black and White coat shinny. Once he was all done he tacked Tyler up and lead him into the Dressage arena, he mounted up then started to warm Tyler up. He walked, trotted, then cantered Tyler. Tyler bucked high and hard, just about unsettling Nick's set. Nick sat down hard and drove him on. Tyler settled down and worked perfectly after that.

Breigh waited for her dad to stop the ute and scrambled nervously out, walking around to the horse float attached to the ute and unbolted it, walking up beside her red chestnut mare and patting her white face before clipping the lead rope onto her halter. She walked her mare out slowly, careful not to scare or go out two fast. Breigh smiled and walked her mare over into the horse stable beside the dressage arena and stripped her silk blanket from her slim back and started grooming her. She smiled and fed her mare a carrot because her mare was so patient and calm. Normally, she would've never of even gotten her into the stable. Breigh walked around her mare and admired her clean, silky coat. She gave her another carrot before going into the tack room and grabbing a dressage tack set. Tacking her up, she glanced around at her fellow competitors and sighed, letting her shoulders slouch. After Armida was looking absolutely stunning, she walked her out into the dressage arena and started to practice before her event. Surprisingly, Armida was running smooth and was very obedient. The mare was getting a bit excited but kept herself under control. Breigh glanced at the other competitors, her eyes resting on a boy on a beautiful black and white stallion, their movements were swift and graceful and the boy seemed to have a lot of control over his horse.

Armida chewed nervously on the metal bit and nickered, breaking into a graceful trot with her tail flagging out behind her swiftly, she noticed the boy and his horse, who Breigh was looking at and flicked her tail, passing them quickly before the stallion barely laid his eyes on her and cantered smoothly around the arena, neighing softly, trying not to disturb her rider.

Nick noticed someone else enter the Arena on a beautiful chestnut mare, but he didn't take much notice of them until they past him, he relised it was a girl riding her horse, she was controlling the mare beautifully. He smiled but continued to keep Tyler in line now that there was a mare in the Arena. Nick made Tyler do a shoulder in, Tyler did it with ease. He also made him do heaps of other fancy dressage movements too.

Tyler arched his neck and pranced around with ease he flicked his ears backwards and forwards waiting to see what else Nick wanting him to do to show off how good he was in front of this lovely pair riding around. Tyler nickered softly toward the mare, he liked her, she was pretty and graceful and full of energy.

Breigh felt her shoulders stiffened as she slowed her mare to a walk, preparing to perform a half-pass. She let her mare do the rest of the work then did a small, swift pirouette then slowed her to a halt. Dismounting, Breigh took her helmet off to reveal a pair of messy, braids. She combed the remaining of her loose hair behind her ears and pulled out half and apple and placed it under her mare's muzzle. Stroking her face, Breigh grabbed her loose reins and steered her towards the entrance.

Armida pricked her ears towards the stallion and glanced over at him, flicking her tail with curiosity before turning back to her owner and accepting the well earned treat she was offering. It was only 3 hours until the show, so maybe she would see the stallion again in that short time. Armida whinnied a sweet, tempting good-bye to the stallion and followed out Breigh.

Nick slowed Tyler down to a walk then stopped, Tyler needed a rest before the show, he dismounted and gave Tyler a pat then walked him out of the arena.

Tyler followed happily, he was tired but excited. He didn't know where he was going now, hopefully some place nice, he thought.

Breigh looked at the stables and shook her head, they were loud and full of people which made it very stuffy in there. She took in a deep breath of the fresh air and nodded, starting to walk Armida down to one of the empty pastures and took off her tack while walking back to the tack room.

Armida neighed and galloped around happily, she felt an urge to run and this was her chance. She galloped freely around the large field, her tail flagging out behind her. Armida walked to the center of the field and reared playfully. She walked back over to the fence boredly and saw the horse and his rider, the one in the arena with them. Armida whinnied loudly and tossed her mane, wanting company.

Nick looked around, there was no one here when he had arrived, it was all quiet, but now there was noise in all directions. He sighed then lead Tyler over the cross ties and untacked him. He put away Tyler's tack then brushed Tyler until his coat shone then he gave him a carrot. Nick looked around wondering which paddock he could put Tyler in? He glanced around and saw the mare that had just been in the arena with him and Tyler, practicing, he walked Tyler over to the fence and looked the mare over, she was beautiful. He let her sniff his hand then he stoked her head softly.

Tyler chomped on the carrot and looked at Nick for more when he heard a mare neigh, he looked around as far as he could in the cross ties to see where this neigh came from. He got all excited when he realized the neigh came from the mare who had been in the arena with him and Nick. When Nick unclipped him from the cross ties and started leading him over to the mare he pranced along side Nick totally excited and crazy to go see the mare that had been in the arena with them. He nickered to her and pulled on his lead wanting to hurry up and get to the fence to sniff her.

Breigh started to mingle with a few other competitors and occasionally helped groom a few horses before their events. Boredly, she walked back into the tack room and grabbed Armida's tack, starting to polish it until it looked brand new.

Armida let Nick stroke her face and nudged his arm firmly with her nose, glancing over at Tyler. She nickered sweetly and moved her nose close to his and sniffed him curiously, flicking her tail with approval.

Nick laughed at Armida, she was cool and funny! He looked around for her owner, he spotted her walking to the tack room he spun Tyler around and ran over to her with Tyler trotting along behind him. Nick suddenly stopped, tying Tyler to a nearby ring on a post then walking into the tack room. "Hi, I'm Nick, Um i was just wondering if I could put my stallion Tyler in the paddock with your mare until the show starts?" he asked Breigh curiously.

Tyler's eyes were filled with excitement, he got surprised when Nick spun him around and started running back to the tack room area. He trotted behind Nick without much worry, he looked around then just about ran straight into Nick when he stopped and tied him up. He looked around wondering what was going on, he snorted softly and looked back at the mare he had just sniffed, he nickered to her softly.

Breigh looked up from the tack, letting the dirty rag fall limp in her hands. Her face was blank and she blinked, twitching her nose. Breigh smiled and slapped down the rag onto the saddle., "Hey, I'm Breigh. Sure, I don't see why not. By the way, her names Armida. " She said, realizing it was the guy from the arena. Breigh combed her hair behind her ear with her fingers and glanced over at Armida. "She looks like she could use some company."

Armida whinnied and cantered around the flowered field, her red tail flying high in the air with excitement and curiosity. She slowed down to a brisk, swift walk and halted near the gate Tyler would enter through and snorted, watching him through her steady brown eyes.

Nick smiled" Awesome! Thank you so much. Oh cool, Armida is very pretty." He glanced out the door at Tyler to see if he was still there. He relaxed when he saw he was still standing in the same spot he had left him. "Yeah she does look like she needs company, and my horse Tyler would love to have company for a while too." he said, taking a step back toward the door. "I must go, good luck with your show." he said turning around and walking out the door toward Tyler.

Tyler stood and gazed at the mare as she cantered around the flowered field then came back to the gate. He flicked his ears toward Nick as he came over. Tyler bounced around in one spot hoping that Nick would take him back over to the mare.

Breigh half-smiled, cocking her head to the side, "As well, your stallion is equally handsome." She said, her eyes shifting to the sturdy body behind Nick. "Good luck to you as well, we have a few competitors to compete up against, few very good ones, I might add." Breigh added, winking. She turned back to her saddle and continued to polish it.

Armida whinnied and shook her red mane, pricking her ears in the direction of familiar voices. She twitched her ears tentatively and snorted, flaring her perfect nostrils as her brown eyes gleamed, full of anxiety.

Nick turned around and smiled back at her then walked over to Tyler and untied him and lead him over to the paddock Armida was in. He unclipped the latch, leading Tyler through then shutting it behind him. He unclipped him then back away toward the gate then jumped over it and watched them from the other side of the fence.

Tyler pranced along side him, getting excited about going to see the mare again. He walked through the gate really fast bumping into Nick on the way in just about making him fall over. He snorted happily toward Armida. He trotted forward, toward her after Nick unclipped his lead rope. He nickered happily at her, he extended his muzzle toward hers.

Breigh glanced out the window and looked at the two horses, interacting with one another. She smiled and shook her head, placing the newly-polished saddle back on its rack and started to polish her bridle.

Armida whinnied and flicked her tail, meeting his muzzle halfway. She smiled and nickered, taking a few steps forward. Armida lent over towards his neck and sniffed it quickly, her velvet muzzle brushy up against his velvet coat gently as she pulled away.

Nick sighed and walked back toward his Ute, the horses seemed to be getting on alright. He arrived back at his Ute and jumped into it, he looked around and grabbed some food that was sitting on the front seat that he had bought earlier. He munched on the pack of chips then he ate some sandwiches.

Tyler stood still and watched Armida sniff him. He stepped back once she had then he pricked his ears and looked around at the other horses in different paddocks. He spun around and galloped off in the paddock bucking and shying at nothing, just letting off a bit of steam before the show. He tossed his head around making his gorgeous silky black and white mane flop around. His tail streamed out behind him as he held it up high.

Breigh finished with the bridle and walked into the restroom and grabbed a lemon. She walked out and sat on the fence, watching Armida and Tyler. Breigh smiled and took a bite out of her lemon, then slid down and placed aqua colored fabric onto the grass and sat onto it, watching all the horses graze lazily except for two.

Armida neighed and swished her tail briskly, lowering her muzzle to the grass, taking a few hungry bites. She whinnied and walked energetically over to Tyler, she hadn't yet introduced herself to him, nor had he. "Hello, I am Armida." Armida nickered, glancing around the field, noticing her owner sitting over by the gate.

Nick jumped down from his Ute and wondered around to his float and checked his tack. It wasn't as shinny as it could be. He sat down and started polishing it til it shone. He looked up and saw Breigh sitting on the grass, he smiled but carried on cleaning the tack.

Tyler stopped and looked at Armida. "Hey nice to meet you Armida, I'm Tyler!" he said proudly, he looked over in the direction Armida was looking and saw a girl sitting on the grass. It looked like the one that was on Armida's back in the arena. "That your owner?" asked Tyler, curiously.

Breigh finished off her lemon and leaned against the fence, letting the sun soak into her tanned skin, baking it. She groaned and slightly shut her eyes, hating the watering feeling melting through her eyes.

Armida smiled, "Yes, that is my owner. Breigh." She smiled, making a sour expression as she bit into her lemon. "I don't know how she can eat those." Armida snorted, chuckling faintly.

Nick finished cleaning his tack and put it way. He looked over at the horses and saw Breigh over there, he wondered over there curiously, then stopped beside Breigh. "Nice day, its pretty hot though" he said, while watching the horses.

Tyler cracked up laughing as he watched Armida eat the lemon. "Yeah i don't know how you just took a bite out of one" he said smiling at her.

Breigh jumped as Nick's voice rose behind her, she spun around, lowered her hand with the lemon in it and smiled, standing up. "Yeah, a little hot," She said, glancing at the faint sunburn on her arm. Breigh looked over at the horses, shading her eyes with her arm. "Don't suppose you'd be up for a trail ride after the show, maybe take the horses for a swim?"

Armida flicked her tail gently, glancing sideways at Tyler as he laughed at her owner, smiling slightly. She snorted and neighed quietly, trotting over to where the humans socialized.

Nick glanced at her, "Sure, it will be fun and it will cool the horses and us down.." he said, as he looked up and watched as Armida came over.

Tyler tossed his head and cantered after Armida, he nickered toward Nick as he came over he stopped at the fence and put his head on Nick's chest and rubbed it up and down softly.

Breigh nodded, taking another bite of her lemon, folding her legs underneath her. She swallowed and grabbed he bottle of water on the edge of the fabric, taking a small sip, trying not to wash away the lemony flavor but tying too quench her thirst.

Armida walked up beside Tyler but faced her owner and nudged her hand, knocking the sour fruit onto the grass. She neighed and tossed her mane, flicking Tyler with her tail.

Nick patted Tyler, "Hey big boy, you being good aye!" he said, kissing Tyler's soft black muzzle, he watched Breigh out of the corner of his eye taking a bite of the lemon again, he turned around and faced her, "Seriously, how can you eat those things!?!" he asked, chuckling.

Tyler nickered at Nick as if answering his question. He stepped sideways as Armida flicked her tail at him, he didn't want to get flicked. He smiled and lowed his head to the ground to graze

Breigh shrugged and grabbed the other half of lemon out from her pocket and stood up, taking another bite, facing Nick, so close he would probably feel her breathing on him. "Easy." She whispered with a wink.

Armida snorted as Tyler stepped out of reach and smothered her smile with a frown, reaching over to nip him.

"Okayyyyyyy!" said Nick, stepping back a little. He smiled at her then he glanced at Tyler again.

Tyler shot his head up when Armida nipped him, he starred at her then smiled and returned the nip.
