Re: The Great Alaskan Race.
Atiya-Kaydence looked over at Riley as he walked over and her tongue lolled out to one side and then she suddenly let out a bark towards Riley. As Rilley put everything into position and then hopped on the sled and they were told to go Atiya-Kaydence started pulling at the sled as soon as possible, walking towards the starting line hurriedly

Laska sat patiently next to Moon as they dogs all waited for Riley to come. Didn't Riley know it was boring just sitting here! He wanted to get going, and get going now! He started barking, then stopped when he saw Riley coming. "Finally.." he muttered under his breath. His tail was wagging really fast and he barked once more, then stood up and shook the snow off his coat. The harness that was attached to him rattled at he shook. He pricked his left ears forward, while his other ear was back, listening for the work that would send all the dogs running. He pulled slightly against his harness, but kept all four paws standing the the same spot. He couldn't move till Riley gave the instruction. Once Riley had packed everything into the sled, Riley wagged his tail harder. He noticed all the other teams of dogs heading over to the start line. This was gonna be one fun race. Then finally Laska heard the word he had been waiting for. 'Mush'. He barked loudly, then pulled against his harness and hard as he could. The other dogs and the sled started to move toward the starting line.

Re: The Great Alaskan Race.
With a short, sharp, but not exactly unfriendly bark to Brozah, Korgi stood and pushed his weight against the harness, growling softly as he felt it begin to edge forward. Barking at the other dogs, he grunted and snapped at the air, willing the other dogs to start moving. As they did, the sled slid forward and the weight became easier on the harnesses. Before long, the sled was moving at a steady pace, the other dogs wagging their tails excitedly and leaping against the pull of the harnesses. Ignoring the excited yapping and bounding of the dogs around him, he had his mind set on one thing. Pull the sled, listen to master, win the race. If he were forced to, he'd admit that he enjoyed the thrill of the race of the feel of the winter breeze through his coat. But he would remain composed, barely stifling the wag of his tail, pulling the sled with all his strength and endurance.

Whiskey felt the sled and harness move. Sighing, he ran forwad, along with the pack of dogs. Glancing back at his owner, he sighed, and kept on moving forward.

Re: The Great Alaskan Race.
Bounding forward as eagerness pulsed through his veins, Brozah was jerked backwards suddenly as they sled was not moving fast enough. There were already other dog sled teams infront of them and also some behind.
A small bark echoed quietly around him as he started to run, his well-muscled legs plowing within the snow as his strong shoulders kept the sled in a steady tow. It felt good to be moving instead of sitting idle and waiting for his master with little socialization occuring. The cold temperature of the frozen snow didn't particulary bother him much as warm blood pumped through his body, interlaced with energetic adrenaline.

(Sorry for interrupting, but just letting you all know, I'm adding another dog, since HWS has pulled out, we only have 7, so with the one I'm going to add it will put it up to 8!! So yeah! Have fun with the rp!)

Moon heard the signal her master had given them and she pushed forward with eagerness as they headed toward the starting line. It was hard pulling at first because of the sudden weight but then as she got more comfortable with it she found it was more easier.

Re: The Great Alaskan Race.
Suranee jumped forward along with Atiya-Kaydence, the other wheel dog. She yapped happily, and her tail went like crazy. Once all the dogs were pulling it became real easy and they all trotted along slowly toward the starting line. She looked straight ahead, spotting the starting line, she pulled harder, wanting to get there faster and start this race, that they were all wanting to do.
Kuryen walked forward with all her might, helping to get the heavy sled started. She smiled and her tail wagged happily. She was in front of Korgi, (I think thats where HWS was) she flicked an ear back curiously at him while pulling, but soon forgot him and looked ahead as the starting line was almost right in front of them. She sighed and yipped at Whiskey, the male dog beside her.
Riley smiled as the dog all took off. He helped them but pushing the sled with one of his legs, like you do on a skateboard. Once going fast enough, he stared them easily toward the starting line. Seeing it up ahead, he started to slow them down but saying one of the many words, that you give a dog who pulls a sled. He positioned them in the right place on the starting line, and waited for the announcer person to fire the gun so that they could all get started. Riley shivered slightly as a strong wind blew from no where, he pulled the strings on his warm fur hood of his thick jacket tighter.
(Once the Race has started and such and they are like in the afternoon of the first day, lets start making dramatic things happen to them all. xD)

Atiya-Kaydence pulled the sled with easy strength. She wagged her tail and barked at some passing dogs. Her ears flicked forward and she held her head high and her nose pointed forward. Her eyes were alight with the excitment when a heavy gust of wind and snow blew past. She planted her paws in the snow below her and she waitd for it to pass over. When it did she sneezed and shook the snow from her coat.

Laska shook off as a big gust of wind blew snow onto his coat, then he barked as they came to a stop as the start line. His eyes were bright with excitement and he couldn't wait to get started. He looked at Moon next to him and he wagged his tail as he waited for the gun to be fired, to send all the dogs off running.

Re: The Great Alaskan Race.
[Sorry about my absence.]
A blizzard. Narrowing his eyes and squinting, he looked over the mountains. It seemed misty and fogging. Obviously a blizzard was occuring over there. The breezes picked up and causes him to howl in triumph and excitement. Wagging his tail, Brozah vaulted himself into the air in excitement then smiled mentally at his own childishness. All of a sudden, the starting comand blasted through his ears in a shrill tone. Adrenaline pumped through his veins so fiercely he thought he might pop if he didn't start running. A small yelp escaped through his muzzle with excitement as all the other dogs and sleds bounded off across the snow. He impatiently waited for the lead dogs of their sled to start moving.

Re: The Great Alaskan Race.
Moon dashed through the snow like a bulldover on a rampage and at on point she was half under the snow; but she didint care. She glanced over at Laska to make sure he was alright, then she glanced toward the wheel dogs. After she checked all the other dogs were okay she pulsed on with even more eagerness than before.
